Fierce Friendship

We all need fierce friends in our work.

Friends who will stand by us… and who will say no way am I going to stand there and neither should you.

Friends who will cheer us on… and who will challenge us and tell us how wrong we are.

Friends who will connect us to what we need… and who will help disconnect us from what we never needed.

Friends who will listen to our sense making… and who will tell us when we’re talking no sense.

Friends who will read our words… and will tell us what we’re not reading but we should.

Friends who will recommend our work… and who will recommend who not to work with.

Friends who will tell us what they value in us… and who will remind us of our values.

Friends who will love us… and who will say when they hate us.

Above all we need fierce friends who will explore with us.

We all need fierce friends in our work. If you want fierce friendship then be a fierce friend.
